How to Help
The Lamp of God Orphanage is not about making a profit; it is about changing children’s lives and giving ordinary people the chance to change the world one little person at a time. You can help in a variety of ways: Financial,Sponsorship
,Donate and Volunteer.
Help the orphans with your donation or Sponsor a Child today! The funds raised through this element of the website will be used to provide food, clothing, recreational resources, learning materials and qualified teachers for the children. Unlike other child sponsorship options, you will not receive regular updates in the post as to how your chosen child is progressing. However the group/page will be updated as often as possible. This is because this is a fund raising exercise with absolutely no administration costs, 100% of your money reaches the children of The Lamp of God Orphanage.
In Deuteronomy 15:11, God in His word enjoins us to help the needy and take care of orphans in the society. Children without parents, food, clothing, shelter and without hope...
can we continue to close our eyes to their suffering and pain?
The Lamp of God Orphanage is response to their cry for help and you can be part of the hope we bring to the orphaned, abandoned, destitute and needy children.
What happens to your money and gifts? All money, gift donated goes towards the children.

The toilet facility at the lamp of God orphanage was originally a large pit dug into the ground, lined with cement blocks to create a leach bed for the waste. The floor was a large piece of thick plywood with holes cut into it with boxes built onto it for the toilet seats. Short concrete walls were built around the wood flooring to stabilize the wooden slats which served as the walls, and tin sheeting was attached to the walls to serve as a roof. The constant barrage of rain water, plus erosion, as well as termite damage, eventually caused the structure to cave in and it was destroyed. we are currently building a new toilet which is not complete yet.
